Ferromanganese is a ferroalloy composed mainly of iron and manganese. Iron and steel works as deoxidizers, desulfurizers and alloying agents. In addition to manganese and iron, he also contains impurities from silicon, carbon, sulphur and manganese ore

Ferromanganese is mainly used as deoxidizer, desulfurizer and alloy additive in steelmaking. Adding it into steel as alloy additive can improve the mechanical properties of steel, increase the strength, ductility, toughness and wear resistance of steel.
